Review content:
Okay - full disclosure: I haven't actually had any work done here. But, I took my Accord in to get aligned somewhere, and they told me I needed new struts that would cost around $900! I had heard good things about Jeff's Gasoline Alley, so I went down there. Within a few minutes, someone offered to just go out to my car with me, and he did a cursory visual inspection and a ""bumper"" test with his knee, and said he was pretty sure the struts were fine. Since I still needed an alignment, he recommended I go to Albuquerque Tire, and ask them to check as well. He told me he'd be happy to take a closer look if they thought otherwise. I did, and Albuquerque Tire was excellent, gave me an excellent price on an alignment (only charged me for a 2-wheel alignment, because they said that was all it needed), and confirmed what Jeff's place said about the struts. What's more - when I told them ahead of time about the exchange I had with Jeff's - they said, well, if they thought you didn't need them, then you probably don't. Very pleased with both places. If you've got someone taking a few minutes of their own time (Jeff's didn't charge me anything to look at my car briefly) to tell me I don't need work that someone else said I did - well, that tells me they are honest and trustworthy. Good move on their part - now I'll be back!
