There's always work for a good mechanic and these dudes are good. The place looks a little rough but they're totally legit and most importantly, super honest. Auto repair is an easy business to take advantage of vulnerable customers but these dudes come through every time.
I've even tried playing ignorant with them when I actually have a pretty good idea and diagnosis as to what the problem is just to see what they will suggest and they always are totally fair and honest and suggest the correct and least expensive solution.
Go see Carlos and he will do right by you without any condescending tone or sleazy deals which is much more than I can say for plenty of seemingly cleaner businesses in the neighborhood.
Pros: won't bs you about your car
Cons: The place looks like Sanford and Son but who cares?
