Review content:
As an ""authentic"" Greek (meaning born & raised in Greece), I have a special relationship with Greek restaurants in the US. Specifically, I can judge which ones serve food that is ""Greek"" only in name, and most are like that. However in Astoria there are a few restaurants that do serve good, authentic greek cuisine, and after multiple ""experimentation"" I have concluded that Stamatis (careful, the one on 23rd) is the best. You can't go wrong with most dishes and the environment is nice, the prices good. Careful though, as it can be a little too busy/crowded esp. on weekends.
