My husband and I married in August of 2008 and chose to have both our ceremony and reception at the Riverfront Recapture Boathouse in Hartford. We had a very difficult time deciding on a venue to have our special day, but the minute we walked into the boathouse, we knew that it would be the perfect place for us. The staff were super friendly and helpful to set up and run our wedding day. They really went above and beyond to ensure that all things ran smoothly and that we were happy with our experience. All our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and told us what a beautiful place we had for our ceremony and reception. It was truly a perfect day thanks to Riverfront Recapture. The only negatives of this venue is that they require you use one of their ""preferred"" caterers but we chose to go with a reasonable vendor and had a great experience. They also require you to pay for any alcohol using their bar services, which is very pricey so we elected not to have an open bar. Everything else however was picture perfect!
