Review content:
The wait was short but the service was awful. The attendant I got was inattentive, . She spent more of her time speaking to her colleagues than actually paying attention to my feet. There were other patrons at the same time and I could see the care and detail being put into their service. My attendant hurriedly scrubbed my feet barley massaged them and was putting on polish on my toes before the people who I met in the back were finished theirs. I was given a half hearted pat on the shoulder (I cant honestly call it a massage) and then was asked to pay because she needed to leave early ( yes I'm not making this up, that's what she said) I gave her my credit card and she was visibly upset that I had no cash to tip her. I ended up tipping her with my card for awful service. I steped outside and was about to leave making up my mind that i would review my experience to help other buyers be ware. Instead I decided to go to Mimi and discuss my dissatisfaction discretely. She then goes on to make a big production of admonishing the attendant in front of me and other patrons and promises to fix things by doing the mani herself. I was pleasantly surprised I expected an apology but to get the mani complimentary from her because I was dissatisfied showed a serious commitment to customer satisfaction (or so I thought). I discussed at length with the owner why i was dissatisfied. She ""explains"" it as the language barrier ( the lady could barley speak English), she was most likely tired, and next time I should come earlier. Here's the shocker...then Mimi proceeds to ask for me to pay before she Polishes my nails so I don't smudge them. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! by the gall of this woman. Then It hit me she never really cared about my satisfaction or dissatisfaction with my pedicure. Her intention was to make sure that she didn't loose the $9 for the manicure! I actually paid. (which I regret doing ... and I'm still angry all $28 dollars later) As a rule I try not to bring up issues of race and ethnicity ( I am an African-American) But I left with the sinking feeling that this situation ( the level of service I received from the attendant, Mimi response ect.) would have turned out differently had I not been a woman of color. Mimi's has seen me for the first, last and only time. I will NEVER go back there and I cannot recommend them to anyone. If i could give them 0 stars I would.
