Review content:
This place used to be ""Sesame's"" and the food used to be mediocre to awful. But after I read about this place in The Improper Bostonian being transformed and managed by new people. I went back with my boyfriend, and we were very glad we did. Their food is absolutely fantastic. They don't serve you broccoli chicken or beef lo mein in this place (by the way, these dished are not traditionally chinese.) Instead, they present you with real Szechuan style dishes you would actually find in Szechuan China and they are cooked well and very tasty. Many of the dishes ARE fiery spicy but most of them are not. We had Dan Dan noodles (our favorite), sliced pork mixed with garlic and scallion, and Diced chicken with peanuts and red hot peppers. Not that I mean to but I tend to get judgmental about Chinese restaurants in the states (because I am Chinese). My boyfriend is a spicy and hot food enthusiast who's tried a variety of hot dishes like the Mexican Habanero chili, Atomic Buffalo wings, and Thai green curry. We were both impressed with this Szechuan place we will definitely go back.\r \r The service was great, too. They knew we would need a lot of water to go with the hot dished we order so they kept coming to our table to refill our water. When we were there (Sat. night), the place was almost filled. Pretty good for a place that had just opened. And you know a restaurant is authentic when you see most of its customers are the of the same nationality of the cuisine. Pros: Unique and tasty menu Cons: might be a little out of the way for many people because it's in Teele Square
