Review content:
I had been holding onto my fathers war medals for many years in my drawer and finally decided to frame them with a photo of him in uniform. After asking around and visiting a few frame shops and the big craft stores, I found an advertisement for J Whitney in my mail and decided to see if they could help me out. They have a small showroom in an old factory building with a huge workspace on the second floor! They had a couple of examples of framed medals on display, smaller than what I needed, but it gave me some good ideas. After picking out a very nice frame and laying out the medals and the photo we talked about using conservation glass to protect the materials from UV rays. The price difference was not considerable so I went ahead and upgraded to the conservation glass. Overall I found the owners at J Whitney to be very knowledgeable and friendly, their pricing was less than many of the other shops I visited as well as the discount craft stores. What made me choose to have them frame my Father's war memorials was my level of comfort with their quality and friendly professionalism.
