Review content:
To begin with, a little background - Taylor Made is run by 1 woman who has a handful of photographers working for her. You don't get to meet your photog until the day of the event. The week before my wedding, I tried to get in touch with my photog, but the owner wasn't returning my calls and had given the photog the wrong phone number, so I only got to talk to my photog for a few minutes a few days before my wedding. This is typical - the owner is totally disorganized and is horrible at returning phone calls. The day of my wedding, the photog left 30 min early. When the proofs came back I was really disappointed - lots of important shots missed (like the kiss!) and poor composition and lighting in some pix. The real trouble began when I placed my order. It took forever for everything to come in. This was another ongoing problem. The proofs also took longer than they should have and so did the pictures and mats that were ordered to replace damaged items. Yes, damaged items - a lot of the pictures in my album were scratched or wrinkled. A few of the mats were stained. The pictures looked as if they had been slapped into the mats without consideration to centering, etc - I ended up re-doing most of the pages myself. The worst was finding out that the owner had been unable to order the parent albums in white, so she ordered black and didn't bother to tell me! Communication is another HUGE problem with T.M. - she would make decisions like that without consulting me, on several occasions I only got half the information I needed to make the decisions I needed to make, and she made mistakes and TRIED TO BLAME ME! In the end, the problems were fixed, but not without a lot of haggling. At one point, it got so bad I filed a complaint with the consumer's bureau. Now, after 14 months, I finally have a completed album, but I'm not happy. What I got, in terms of both product and service, was NOT worth the $3000 I paid. For that kind of $, I expected more. Pros: I do have some very beautiful pictures, esp. the outdoor pictures Cons: Service, Delivery, Quality
