07/28/2008 Dr. Daryl Martin has diabetes and is getting up in years so he has turned a lot of his patients over to Dr. Jamie Paul who started working with him a couple years ago. I had Dr. Paul do a root canal for me in November of 2007. During treatment I had a Sodium Hypochlorite accident which caused massive swelling to the side of my face and necessitated a trip to the emergency room two days later when my eye started to swell shut from infection. I found out later that the universal treatment for a sodium hypochlorite accident is to prescribe strong antibiotics. This was not done in my case, in fact Dr. Paul appeared to be clueless when I started bleeding profusely. She told me occasionally somebody will have a reaction to the sodium hypochlorite - the truth is anybody will have a reaction when sodium hypochlorite (used as an irrigant) comes in contact with soft tissues. When I asked Dr. Paul to reimburse only my emergency room fees and prescriptions (approx. $500.00) she turned it over to her insurance and now I am fighting them and am probably going to have to get a lawyer to get any reimbursement. Avoid Dr. Jamie Paul like the plague! Pros: low priced Cons: you get what you pay for
