Today, I happened to stop by La Tropicana Fruit and Yogurt. To be honest, I was expecting, frozen yogurt. The personnel were very friendly. All of the signature yogurts are made with a combination of fresh tropical fruits (pineapple, mangoes,strawberries, bananas and peaches. La Tropicana, personnel pride themselves in providing their customers with their outmost attention. From the time I walked in to the shop, I was greeted with a smile. While I was waiting to place an order, the server on several occasions provided me with samples of their terrific chocolate and vanilla shake and raspados (shaved ice topped with their signature toppings, which include mango, chestnut, vanilla, tamarind, lemon, pineapple and a few others. I opted to purchase their signature item, which is called a Bionico (Bionic) which is prepared with a combination of delicious tropical fruits, topped with their signature silky smooth yogurt. The Bionico's generous portion of fruit and yogurt was then topped with walnuts and granola (other choices were available; peanuts, raisins, cranberries, sugar sprinkles, sunflower seeds or coconut shavings ). If you're anywhere near LAX, stop by and see this wonderful shop for your self.... One thing for sure, I'll be back tomorrow....
