Businiess name:  Amedeo's Italian Restaurant & Bar

Review content:
Having seen in CitySearch that this restaurant was rated the #1 Most Romantic Restaurant in Houston I made reservations for my husband's birthday. The first thing the woman told me was they were voted ... Well, the place is 35 miles out of Houston - in Humble - NOT Houston. The neighborhood is a dump. Then we walk in and it is the least romantic - bright lights - no booths (hard old chairs). Loud talking - with old acoustic tiles that only amplified noise. All large tables with ""businessmen"" or groups of 2 couples - no romantic anything. No music. Glass lid over tablecloth like a cheap luncheonette worried about their laundry bill. Worn out carpet. Such a huge disappointment. Dinner didn't even come with bread - offered to sell us garlic bread. Salad was old brown with overripe roma tomatoes. We couldn't leave fast enough - and then had to drive 30 minutes back to Houston. BOY did someone stuff that ballot box - Citysearch should be embarrassed.\r \r If you look at the reviews it is obvious they are written by owners - no one writes like these read - with the owner's name.\r \r
