Review content:
I own a pair of boots that had worn soles and heals, but were otherwise in great shape. I discovered that my model of boot had been discontinued and I hate to waste things, so I took my wife's suggestion to take my boots to a shoe repair shop. I decided a local shop should get my business, so I Googled ""shoe repair west seattle"". One of the top hits was Admiral Shoe Repair; this shop seemed to get high marks for service, so I tried them out.\r The shop is packed with new shoe parts stacked in every nook and cranny, and the gentleman behind the counter looks the part: apron and jacket on, sitting over an old industrial sewing machine, carefully sewing the soles on a pair of loafers. This is a true mom and pop shop. The people are friendly and knowledgeable, the service is fast and the repairs are excellent. And if you need laces, this place seems to have more kinds than you would ever need.\r I'm enjoying my repaired boots and will continue to use this shop. I like the idea of supporting my local businesses while reducing waste by repairing my boots/shoes instead of discarding them and getting replacements. The price of their service seems reasonable (it cost $65.00 to have my boots re-soled. Originally the boots were $225.00 new). The boots are as good as new, and should last me another 2-3 years.\r If you need a cobbler in West Seattle, give Admiral Shoe repair a try. These folks are friendly, fast and experts in shoe repair. Pros: Friendly service, expert shoe and leather repair
