My wife and I have been going to the shop pretty much since it opened in 2002. We've always found him skilled, reasonable and honest. I wear mostly running shoes, so less need for repairs, but she's had all kinds of women's shoes repaired, including some stretched with no problem. (I've had a few boots stretched and repaired).
But we've also used him a lot for miscallaneous repairs and fixes, like when my cell phone holder kept falling off my belt and he sewed on velcro, or when he sewed velcro patches to my computer bag to make its pockets less prone to things falling out. Or when a piece of soft luggage ripped. So practically anything where his skills would apply.
