I would not even give this place one star! My husband was there after heart surgery withh complications. After he was there for about a week I noticed blood in his catheter bag. The CNA said it was because of hepatitis; when I spoke to the doctor he concurred. The next day my husband was rushed to ER with a raging urinary tract infection that nearly killed him. So much for hepatitis. At another time his bed could not be elevated due to a broken mechanism; I was told it would be taken care of. I returned 3 hours later from a dentist appointment to find him still lying flat on his back! My anger brought results and a new bed; why it took me to yell is beyond me. One morning when I came to see him he was sleeping on the black mattress cover-no one had ever put a sheet on the bed and it took me to notice it. This place has been reported to the State and to Kaiser by me; the staff is mostly incompetent and there is only one RN in a unit. The majority of nursing is done by CNAs who do not seem to care and are just doing a job. If my husband said he did not want a shower they left him dirty-I do not know how they keep their license.
