I joined Tom & Holly at Gracie Barra Corona roughly two years ago. As a middle-aged man it has been a great way to keep the love-handles away. More importantly, as a father raising two young ladies in this day and age it has helped bring me peace of mind. \r

I have watched my youngest, the smallest child in her class, go from a target for bullies to somebody willing to stand her ground to protect herself and others – all without becoming a bully herself. I have watched my older daughter blossom from a shy little girl to a confident young lady who is quietly seeking positions of leadership and responsibility. \r

If you’re looking for a dojo with a strong family environment that is serious about its student’s self defense and is a strong competitor on the tournament scene come down and give them a visit. You will not be disappointed.\r
