Review content:
I love thrift shops. Most owners are personable, but not at this one. I've been to Main Street Consigners about 4 times and every time I've been there, I have witnessed the owners being rude to customers or have been treated as ""less than"". For example, one time I bought in a bag of designer shoes. They wouldn't even LOOK at them. They have a list of silly rules about the items they will take or will not take. It reads like an excerpt from a law page.
Yesterday, I was driving by and brought my 89 year old mother. Once inside, my mother told me she had to use the bathroom. I asked if she asked the owner. My mother was told there was not a bathroom there. I approached the owner and said, ""I find it hard to believe there isn't a bathroom here."" She said, ""It's for employees only"". I asked, ""You wouldn't consider letting an elderly woman use it?"" Without a thought, she said, ""No"".
I've read other reviews complaining that the owners were extremely rude and didn't pay people when they were supposed to.
Needless to say, I will never shop there again..
