Review content:
I have been going to Diamond Mineral Springs every few years since the mid-1980s. The food is always good and the pies are amazing. Starting in 2007, with our children no longer living at home and located far away, my wife and I started coming to Diamond Mineral Springs for Thanksgiving dinner. \r
\r
If you grew up in a household where Thanksgiving dinner was quite a feast and everyone crashed in the living room afterwards trying to keep from falling asleep, then you can enjoy that feeling again. Diamond Mineral Springs has quite a meal to offer for Thanksgiving dinner and it does not cost an arm and a leg. The only bad thing is that you have to drive back home before you can crash in your living room or bed from eating so much. \r
\r
No matter how full you are, you have to buy a piece of pie. You would be hard pressed to find meringue that is as high as the Foot-Hi pies that this restaurant offers. Always good. \r
\r
Of course, we still go to the restaurant during other times of the year. The Fried Chicken is great, as is the Chicken Fried Steak. The Chicken and Dumplings are also very good. But, again, don't forget to get a slice of one of the Foot-Hi pies!
