I also have a very hard time believing anything bad about Dr. Elmer and I flat out refuse to believe that he ever ""punched"" a dog in the face. I don't know who told you that, lady, but they're lying to you. I also don't buy that you were over charged.\r \r We took our lab to see Dr. Elmer about a cyst on her tail. Our normal vet wanted to cut off her tail and charge us a grand to do it. We didn't see any reason to cut off her whole tail and we sure weren't going to pay a thousand bucks to maim our healthy young lab. \r \r We took her to Dr. Elmer and he not only charged us a ton less (I believe it was around $200), he removed only the cyst. \r \r We dumped our high price vet and took all our dogs to Dr. Elmer up until we moved back to Austin. Yeah, the other vet was less than two blocks from our house, but Dr. Elmer was a much better vet. If Porter weren't 200 miles from where we live now, I'd still take my dogs to see him. Pros: Great vet, fair prices Cons: Too far from Austin!
