Review content:
I?ve been treated with acupuncture/ Chinese medicine for over a year and found it really helpful for the insomnia that I had. I found out that I would get a 25% discount at Terrie's office and made an appointment with Rachel Rizzi who also works there.\r
\r
At the appointment, Rachel put the needles in and after several minutes I get a strange, painful feeling of energy going through my hands and progress to the worse. This has never happened with my prior practitioner. I knew something was wrong and I called her to take the needles out. Right after that I started to have an uncontrollable seizure which wouldn?t stop. It became obvious to me then that Rachel must have targeted wrong acupuncture points. I asked the secretary, Jenn, to waive my appointment fee since it went so wrong. She tried to explain to me that I signed a consent paper acknowledging that such things possible. In a while after going over the paper, hard talk and my explanation that this is never happened to me with acupuncture and something was not done right, they agreed to waive my fee and told me that they would not schedule me again. My seizures were lasting for several more hours. The same night I also had a bad heart/ stomach pain.\r
\r
After this appointment I started to have:\r
High vascular pressure/ heart rate/arrhythmia, fever, severe insomnia, dizziness, anxiety, headaches. After a while some symptoms improved. Also, when I got a flu shortly after this incident, it made my pulsations really bad, I felt really week and was sick for a week. This has never happened to me prior to this acupuncture session. \r
Two months later, however, I still have heart palpitations, disturbing pulsation in my head. I tried to get acupuncture treatment from my old practitioner but now it gives me some negative effects, increases heart palpitations etc. \r
Going to Rachel Rizzi at ?Terrie Duda Harris Acupuncture? was no doubt the biggest mistake of my life. I hope no one else hurts their health here.
Pros: Can get 25% off visits under the Healthyroads program.
Cons: Caused a variety of health problems
