I am a former employee of The Academy, And I absolutely agree with the other reviews posted.
Administration is poor at best. Situations in the classrooms are not handled fairly and appropriately. Whats worse they do not follow state regulations concerning ratio, or supervision of children.
However don't blame these problems on the teachers. I know the teachers at the academy are focused on the happiness and wellbeing of the children, and they are very qualified to be teachers. They only work for this company and don't always agree with the practices the academy uses in terms of dealing with parents, children, or employees. The teachers are expected to follow orders so to speak and do all that the admin tells them to do, even if they don't agree. If a teacher did not follow direction she would suffer immediate termination.
The Academy's main focus is not on the happiness and wellbeing of the children in their care. Their focus is unfortunately status in the community.
