Businiess name:  Bastyr University Chapel

Review content:
The chapel at Bastyr is gorgeous, it is a very elegant and formal setting. The acoustics are also amazing.\r We chose to rent the chapel for our wedding ceremony. Although the chapel looked beautiful, we experienced some severe interference (screeching) during our ceremony. I have no idea why...maybe from the multiple microphones that were needed (at the podium, piano, and handheld mic with the officiant)? The interference occurred sporadically throughout the ceremony, producing some very awkward moments. A groomsman switched off the mic at the podium at one point, but this did not resolve the problem. The officiant did a good job of covering up his handheld mic, but the screeching continued. Towards the end of the ceremony, the screeching became so severe that the officiant had to switch off the handheld mic. This resulted in the latter part of our ceremony not being heard by our guests...including my parents who were sitting in the front row.\r Please, if you are considering renting this chapel, assure that this problem has been resolved. I listened to a CD on the sound system 4 times before the wedding, and the music sounded amazing, so it must have been a problem with the microphones. Pros: Picturesque, Great Acoustics Cons: Faulty sound system, 30+ min from Seattle center
