The first of March I took our Rotweiller to our vet thinking we should be havin a litter of puppy's by now so we wanted to have X-Rays done so we would know when it would be, but to our surprise our Vet told us she was not pregnant. Her Stomach was full of nothing but water an it was clear with no odor or protiens in it, our vet ran several test on her an the only thing he could do was put a port in her stomach an drain the water. He drained a total of 5 gallons of fluid. He consulted with another Vet which is an Cadilogest for small animal. They thought she might be have Congestive Heart Failure so he recomended for us to take her to OSU Teaching Hospital. \r That turned out to be one of the most expensive decisions we could have made when we ended up with our Dakata still sick an no closer to knowing what is wrong, an $1342.an some change spent for 2 days in intensive care an alot of the same test that was ran just 24 hrs before with the results faxed to them an Most of there results were the same. \r We were told that she had Whipworms an they thought they had eatten a hole in the lining of her liver an that was allowing the water to seep into her stomach. WOW BACK UP A MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\r Thought that Whipworms were in your Intestines, if their in you intestines just how did they do that from there? We have had another 3-4 gallons of water drained off her stomach an still know closer to knowing what is wrong. \r \r My Point to this is that in the old days at OSU they would of never let her leave there until they turned every stone to find the cause an get it FIXED if the problem could be FIXED...They never Charged so much either they thought us letting them work on our Animal so they could Continue to teach the Students was almost far enough trade, yes we did have to pay a fee but nothing that felt like you were being SCREWED without a KISS. \r I promise OUS this I will tell everyone I know that LOVES there animal not to trust you to care for thier sick animal you dont Give a Rats Ass about your Dog, Cat, Goat, Ect. they just want all you Money. T. Boones Pickins isn't Enough......... Cons: All About the Might Dollar an Not Your Animal
