Review content:
I went to Teps in an attempt to support the ""small guy"" in an ever increasing town of big box stores. This was a terrible mistake. I specifically requested to have an air filter, spark plug, and chain tension screw replaced. I paid the $35 ""diagnostic"" fee under the assumption that this would more than cover my three simple requests. Two days went by and I hadn't heard from them. I made a phone call and was given the excuse ""things are just really busy."" Ten minutes later I got a phone call saying that my saw was ready to pick up. Worst case scenario; I don't get any of the $35 back. Best case scenario, I get $10 back because these 3 parts cost less than $25 and take less than 1 minute to install. I was pretty shocked when I arrived and was asked to pay another $67. Turns out, they ""inspected"" my saw and discovered I needed a new clutch, sprocket, bar nuts, chain brake, and a variety of other parts. I should add that they DID NOT service these parts, merely made note that they needed to be replaced. So I'm standing there in front of 3 employees asking if they really think it's ethical that they are charging me $102 to install an air filter, a spark plug, and a chain tension screw. They felt it was. I ended up having to pay but rest assured I have been telling my friends and family nothing but negative things about this store. I wouldn't be surprised if this store goes under within the year. They barely have any stock, they are unethical, and their prices are astronomical. AVOID THIS PLACE.
