Review content:
I am not the only customer to have had an awful experience at this place, also known as Hudson Hair. I got a TR, I was assured that my stylist was knowledgeable, and I suffered from severe breakage due to the service. When I called to speak to the owner, Rob, he never offered to have a stylist look at my hair to access or repair the damage. He simply denied that the breakage was from the TR done at his salon. Frustrated, I searched the internet for resources on how to fix the damage. Ironically, I came across many complaints about TR breakage, and bad service from this specific salon. You can check them out at hairstraightening dot net and look under Liscio Japanese Hair Straightening, where at least 5 customers have complained about this salon. One woman explains that she shows Rob a bald spot on her head, to which he takes no accountability. Another woman observes that the owner "" had diarrhea of the mouth"" and ""is a belittling Mr know it all to his employees."" Another writes in all caps ""PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SALON!!!!"" I don't know if Rob's 11 year old marketing director got wind of any of these posts. In reaction to multiple customer complaints, Rob tries to combat the problem, by aggressively monitoring internet reviews that expose his poor service, as you can see from his post below. Rob used to participate at the Lamas beauty message boards, until he was banned for posting harassing messages. That hasn't actually stopped him from posting under false names where the message title is usually the link to his salon's website. I honestly think he has mental health issues, perhaps a personality disorder. You can see a few of his nonsensical posts on the lamasbeauty site. And just so everyone is clear, breakage from a TR doesn't necessarily happen right away. When a stylist makes a mistake, like applying the solution too close to the scalp or improper ironing, a 90 degree bend can form on every hair strand near the root. Mine looked like white dots, that weaken and break off over time. Why would I want to expose a guy like this? Because I paid several hundred dollars for the service, had my hair severely damaged, where it took 2 1/2 years to fully grow back. I also need to shell out money for treatments for the damaged areas, while it was growing back. If I had known that this place has a history of performing thermal reconditioning, where many customers complain of breakage, I never would have had the service done there.
