Review content:
When I moved here and needed a fence, I wanted to avoid Lowe's because of a bad experience I had with a Lowe's installed fence in Ohio, but there aren't many choices in Jefferson City, and Lowe's had some really good cash back incentives at the time, so I bought my second $7,500 wooden fence in 2 years from Lowe's. \r

I made it abundantly clear that the fence was intended to contain two large bulldogs. Well, one of my dogs discovered he could pull on the bottom of the 6' tall fence planks and yank them completely off because they are only secured by very thin staples. He got out Thursday and, luckily, he didn't get killed or stolen, but he did get picked up by animal control.\r

I called the local store immediately, and Jason in Installed Sales assured me he would have the installer take care of this and that he would likely use screws to better secure the boards. He said the installer would also re-adjust my gates (again) because they are once again out of alignment and dragging on the ground when you open them. For 5 days now, Jason has been claiming he was in communication with the installer, and I have been crating the dogs and leaving my fence unlocked expecting that the problem would soon be resolved. Yesterday, the installer finally called me and said he had first heard of the issue that morning but that he would be by today. Just now, though, Jason called me and told me that they are going to charge me to do anything to the fence. He claims (now) that the fence was installed properly. So, he has been stringing me along for 5 days. If I'd known Lowe's wasn't going to stand behind its product, I could have found someone this weekend to do the job promptly and reasonably. \r
\r
Clearly this design was never appropriate for my stated purpose.I think it is shameful to sell a customer a product knowing it won't meet the clearly stated purpose, and I will do all I can to avoid giving Lowe's any more business. Way to treat a repeat (former) customer Lowe's.
