Review content:
I'm very particular when it comes to the fish I buy as well as any items for them. In December, I had scoured the twin cities looking for an Oranda as a Christmas present for one of my son's bedroom tank. I read the reviews about A Wet Pet but it was the only place I hadn't looked. I slowly made my way to the back of the store, talking to my two boys (ages 14 and 3) about the fish we were looking at . When we had seen all the fish they had to offer, I started to search the shelves for items I wanted for some of my other tanks when I was finally greeted by a lady, with a dismal, ""Uhh, hi."" I smiled and said hello and that was the only communication I received/exchanged with anyone there besides my children and nobody from the store said anything to my boys. Not a truly bad experience but it makes me wonder if this disinterested attitude was a racist thing. Purely speculation due to what other reviewers have written. To be fair, I've called on the phone a few times to inquire about specialty items and have received courteous service from the same female voice as well as an unneeded lecture from a male voice. I would only enter A Wet Pet again if they actually carried an item I was looking for that I couldn't find somewhere else as I feel that any place that wanted my business would try to lend themselves to being readily available (not once I made it down and almost 1/2 way back through their establishment) with at least a minimum rating of ""pleasant"" customer service when greeted face to face. IMHO
