We recently purchased a home, and have spent the majority of the last 6 months trying to keep up/fix with what the other homeowners did not do. Needless to say, there was a lot of ""upkeep"" not done to the house, and it has kept us very busy!
We noticed that over the past month or so, that the master bath shower developed quite a leak. We didn't think anything of it, so we replaced the shower head. Then it kept leaking...and leaking...and leaking. We realized that it was not possible to leak when the water was completely turned off. After removing the shower handle, we realized that the copper backing had completely snapped off. We called a local plumber (one we have used before) but they were not available to take our call.
In a complete panic we called our homeowners warranty, and they denied the claim. We called Roto-Rooter which was an excellent choice! Although they couldn't assist us that evening (it was not such a pressing issue since we do have another shower in the house) they came when we needed them to the next morning.
Mike was excellent. Answered all of my questions professionally and talked about all of the options with the shower handle. He worked very hard (within the time frame he was given) and let me know if he needed to do something outside the normal realm because of where the shower was located. He was very professional (even with my two little dogs!)
I would recommend this to anyone in need of a plumber!
