We go regularly and we are white and they are incredibly kind to us, they give my kids free drinks and when they have time they talk to me.\r These are my suggestions;\r 1. If you have been there you may have noticed that they are incredibly busy and yes they screw up the smoothies but in other countries it is okay to screw up and it isn't a horrible crime, just part of the ambiance.\r 2> If your waitress isn't insanely busy ask them a question that isn't culturally insensitive, it usually leads to a nice on going conversation over the next few visits.\r 3. Understand the fact that most of the waitresses speak English as a second or third language and that it is easier for them to communicate with customers that speak their first language, so at times it may make you a little less popular. \r 4. Also be compassionate. In speaking with some of the waitresses I've found out they are raising families on their own, sending money home and working 12-16 hour days in order to do so.\r 5. They enjoy seeing familiar faces and being that the food is so darn good we have become familiar to them and find the visits very homey and pleasant.
