Review content:
The Greek in Griffith Park is smaller and less impressive than the landmark Hollywood Bowl, but a show here can be just as enjoyable. The talent that plays is usually top-notch (I saw k.d. lang and Tony Bennett, Erykah Badu and Musiq, Jill Scott, and Nina Simone at the Greek in summer 2001), and almost every seat is a good one. There's something really spectacular about live music outdoors on a warm L.A. night, and performers seem to love it as much as the crowds. Save yourself some trouble and park outside Griffith park, off of N. Hillhurst Avenue south of Los Feliz Boulevard, then walk to the venue; it's a pretty stroll and a great way to avoid the parking mess.
Pros: Great shows, Beautiful setting
Cons: Parking
