Review content:
Pasadena has been void of a good hot dog since The Hot Dog Building Co. left many years ago. Slaw dogs does an excellent job serving up a delicious hot dog with any and all of the trimmings you could want or expect. They have regular beef, kosher and even soy dogs to satisfy most palettes. \r
The one big disappointment for me as a cole slaw connoisseur is that their cole slaw does not come with every hot dog (wha???). Not only that, it costs $2.99 and the serving is a skimpy 1/4 cup. I actually looked under the lettuce leaf in the bowl to see if there was more hiding under there. For the same $2.99 you can get about 1/2 pound of french fries. It makes no sense, especially since ""slaw"" is in their name.\r
If you ask me (and I know you just did), they should serve 1/4 cup of their yummy slaw with EVERY hot dog in keeping with their name and then offer to sell it additionally as an extra side, a pint or 1/2 gallon for us to take home for parties, etc.\r
Hopefully they'll see and correct the err of their stingy slaw ways. In the meantime, it will only slightly diminish my enjoyment of their awesome hot dogs.
Pros: Best hot dog I've had in a very, very long time
Cons: The cole slaw is ridiculously expensive
