Can I say my favorite place in Pasadena now!!! I know they have been getting a lot of hype due to newspaper, bloggers, and the like but I think they deserve it by all means. Ray is such a nice owner and his wife Amy and Mom all work there. They strive to make sure your Slaw Dog experience is excellent. When Ray said to me, ""now that I understand you particular flavor palate I can better design new tastes for you"" I was blown away. This is a hot dog stand right??? Wow to take into consideration this type of thing is like a chef would do and he does it with ease. We have come up with some off the menu items, ok so he has and I ate them. I have discovered that their burgers are very good, two in particular. 1) Pork belly burger with onions and mushrooms (?) 2) Burger with Roasted Pasilla Peppers, Jalapeno Bacon, Pepper Jack, Onions, Sport Peppers Chopped, and Chipotle Mayo- This is my very favorite menu item right now......you can call it the Kevin C. Burger and see if it catches on Dogs of mention: 1) Porkbelly Dog 2) Beer Brat with horseradish mustard, hawaiian bread, red cabbage (only ray knows what is in this...not sure) 3) Vancouver Dog 4) TNT-Modified with sweet potato fries, sport peppers, the egg and jalapenos (try the whole thing DEEP FRIED, if you dare!!!) 5) Pesto Dog- for that lighter meal that doesn't have too many calories 6) New Market Dog-Farewell to Winter-sweet potato fries, crispy sage, garlic aioli, carmelized onion, swiss and bacon all on a spicy sausage Other Items: Ginger Brew Sweet Potato Fries with truffle oil, Parmesan and garlic ""Magic Fries""- Sweet potato with garlic and curry powder Their new ice cream, sorry I forget the details but it is rare chocolate. What can I say Slaw Dogs? I think I have been there about 15 times now, it is so hard with you being one mile from work and one mile from home, not to eat here every meal. Nice to see you have a line out the door now, I can remember when it was just one or two people waiting. This is well deserved and just image when they get beer. Pros: Friendly Owner willing to take suggestions Cons: I will be very fat if I eat here every day
