Review content:
I love this type of ""yoga!"" When I tried it I was back at beginner status. I am so much more flexible, less stressed and I sleep all night now. I didn't know that Dahn yoga was different than other yoga types when I signed up. I'd tried Hatha, Iyengar & Ashtenaga (all different from each other and all called yoga) in the past and expected the same. While many poses are similar to Eastern Indian yoga the underlying purpose of these poses is to open the meridians (energy channels) within the body thereby addressing blockages that could be contributing to current illness or imbalance. This is a very Asian concept and one that practical experience helps me believe in. I am breathing much better now and my blood pressure is now normal; I've stopped taking my medicine. I like that the class is different every time. I especially like that there is a strong focus on meditation and breathing in each class. I enjoy Thursday's Kigong (Tai Chi) and Tuesday's intestine exercise class; another concept new to me of a ""healthy gut is a healthy body."" OK! If you're interested in trying something that's good for you from people interested in helping you achieve your very best then try this type of ""yoga."" I'm happy that I did!
