Cherry Lanes is a great place to hang out, bowl, shoot pool and see live music. I've been working there on and off for many years, and like going there when I don't work there. I was working the door the night that the guy posting below lost his jacket and would like to fill in some details. First off, the spot his jacket supposedly was stolen was one of the bar stools closest to the door. Then when he went to leave and it wasn't there he made a big scene about it and at one point tried to blame me because I was close to it and I was suppose to know what happened to it??? I personally think he left it at another bar and was drunk and confused and took it out on Cherry Lanes. I'm an extremely honest person and have no criminal record. Then, he not only wouldn't leave the bar, but hung out outside after the bar was closed banging on the door threatening to call the cops. We told him to, and we almost called the cops on him cause he was being belligerent. The owners are great to work for, and as far as his comment about bad sound equipment.....the bands bring their own sound system for most of the shows booked there. The guy also claims he spent a lot of money. If I remember correctly he was there for 90 minutes, maybe 2 hours. Drinks are pretty cheap there so I'm calling exaggeration on that comment. It was pretty obvious that he had been drinking before he showed up there also. Sorry you lost your coat, but Cherry Lanes had nothing to do with it.
