Review content:
For 20 years, I brought my clothes here & paid Virginia Cleaners' very expensive rates because the cleaning staff has nearly always done a fine job and the early morning crew has been friendly and efficient. To be brief: Everything changed when I discovered a problem: a totally ruined pair of slacks (splotches where the color had vanished in various spots throughout). To be fair, I didn't discover this until more than a year had passed (it was a pretty catastrophic year), but I still had the cleaners ID tag for the slacks, they still smelled of cleaning fluid, and they were freshly pressed and obviously never worn. The staff & owner insisted that either, a) the splotches developed as a result of hanging in my closet, or b) they had been like that when I brought them in to be cleaned. I didn't expect them to pay to replace the slacks, but I thought they might at least offer something (perhaps a discount on the order I was picking up) to compensate me for the damage. Nothing. After loyal patronage of 20 years, it shocked me to be treated with so little concern. I would never again take my business there.
Pros: convenient drive-up parking; usually good quality work
Cons: terrible customer service if a garment is ruined
