I created a Citysearch account only to rave about Charlie's. I live out of state and constantly think about the day I will return to Houston and be able to go to Charlie's.
Their fried okra is phenomenal. It is clearly fresh okra (green on the inside) and perfectly flavored.
If you're looking for some Southern, homemade mac and cheese, Charlie's will not let you down. I cannot have enough of the stuff!
For my meat I get a chopped beef sandwich. The beef is tender and full of flavor.
I do not like spicy BBQ sauce and the sauce and Charlie's has a sweetness to it. It is perfect for me.
I am counting down the days until my next trip.
Don't pass up Charlie's!
