The Harkins at SanTan Village allowed for a fun Saturday night for my two friends and I. In addition to its convenient location at the SanTan mall, the theater itself served for an enjoyable night out. The theater was thoroughly clean and tidy, especially the restrooms, which seemed to have been maintained periodically to ensure optimum service. The staff was also friendly, especially at the concession counter. I was served with a smile and an extremely polite employee, who made me feel comfortable making my purchase and steered away from pressuring me into adding onto my order, unlike many other theaters. Of course long lines were to be expected on a Saturday night, but I was pleasantly surprised at the organization and timely service that the theater staff utilized in handling the crowd. Not a single one of my fellow movie goers appeared impatient or unhappy with the service they were receiving. My only complaint about my night at Harkins is the hassle that the theater caused over age verification to view a rated R movie. My identification was checked three times, and the entire process became quite tedious. I understand that it is the policy of the theater to verify age, but I don’t feel that such extreme measures should have to be taken, or that such a hassle should be given to teenagers who pass the age limit, but barely. Looking beyond this small stipulation, my experience can be described as overall pleasant, and I can surely say that I will be returning to this theater in the near future.
Pros: clean and organized, friendly staff.
Cons: hassle over age verification.
