Cataract Correction, Multi focal Intraocular lens My non-dominant eye was done a week ago, and I wish the dominant one was ready. With the multifocal lens I can read and see distance. Still need some help with the computer, but I am hoping the dominant eye will be ready for the correction this year and that issue will go away. This was the fastest procedure I have ever had. I was in and out in an hour and 1/2. If I could have dilated my own eye at home it would have taken about thirty minutes. A very efficient operation. There's no pain, just a little irritation for a couple of days, like a grain of sand, or a contact that has been in too long. I could read the paper the next morning.
