Review content:
I went to Shu Cosmetics to get laser hair removal on my face. The first two sessions, which were on my upper lip, the laser technician, Sonya, shaved the hair off before treating it with the laser as well as applied a gel. I had asked her why and she said that the laser burns the hair follicle to kill it, so if there is hair outside of the skin that hair will burn and burn my skin, leaving scars. This time I arrived, and after waiting for 20 minutes, I went to the desk to ask what was going on. The woman (same who had done my last two appointments) responded saying that she had been booked for 20 minutes with a male leg that should have been 40 minutes so she was still working on him (information I did NOT need to know), and also added that they had ""booked her over her lunch break today"" (it was morning time and still not information I needed). She proceeded to say that if i was 'in a hurry' she could take me to a different room and use a portable laser 'quick'. In the room she didn't shave me or put gel on and began with a very painful hot laser. I told her it hurt and asked why she didn't shave me and she stumbled on her words saying with this laser she didn't need to. She continued, and at the very end my skin burned so bad I had tears, she said that she ""must have burnt off some make-up"". I now have a large open sore in that area where ""make-up"" was burned and blisters covering the rest of my upper lip. \r

I am just devastated knowing that I will have scars and also that the hair on my upper lip is still very much so there, showing no results for any of my sessions. I am very disappointed with this business and the lack of customer service and following procedure. I will not be returning there in the future or recommending the company to any friends considering these injuries and the lack of ANY results. I hope there is something more I can do to prevent this from happing to any other patients.
