I had some really terrible customer service here. I was double charged on my account when I paid with my debit card and it was a particular situation in which it was NOT the bank's fault. I paid inside, rather than at the pump; the boy at the counter had me swipe my card twice saying that there was a problem with the satelite the first time. But this apparently caused it to double charge my account. I patiently waited for the extra transaction to clear off of my bank statement as I am FULLY aware that sometimes the bank will issue an extra charge until everything goes through correctly. The transaction never cleared, and I spoke with the bank about it. They were sure that it was nothing on their end. \r

With all that said, I contacted the gas station. I politely asked about it, not accusing anyone of anything, but simply trying to get to the bottom of the situation. The girl I spoke with though, responded rudely and immediately was defensive about it claiming that there was ""no possible way"" that it could have been a mistake or glitch in their system. Immediately she started throwing out comments like, ""I'm not saying you're stupid or anything..."" which I thought was really unprofessional and tacky. I didn't make a fuss so there was no reason at all to get the type of uncooperative and unprofessional response that I received.\r

I went into the bank for further information. I made sure that it was nothing extra that they may have held. They were sure that it wasn't, and considering that I have been banking with them for 8 years and know very well how pending transactions and pre-authorizations show up on my account (I check my online account multiple times a day) I definitely believed them. They advised me to bring the statement to the gas station and ask for it to be investigated and that if no one would work with me to file a dispute with the bank against the gas station.\r

I went to the gas station, did as the bank advised me. Again, I received a complete lack of even further looking into the situation or any consideration for the fact that maybe a mistake was made. Instead the same girl insisted that ""even if the bank says it's not their fault, it definitely is."" She was rude; I would have not been upset about the mistake...mistakes happen. But I am upset that I received such a poor attitude from the girl that I spoke with. \r

I informed her I would be going through with the dispute, and apparently she didn't care. \r

As far as things go now, I am not going to be giving any Citgo stations any of my money anymore. I have had no problems at any other gas stations and have had issues with the Citgo corporation not just as a personal customer but in business with our business's card services too.\r

I am fed up with the lack of decent customer service; the company is a some-billion dollar corporation with exceedingly poor consideration for the their customers.
