Review content:
Friends of mine ordered a cold cut platter and salads to be delivered to a Shiva house. The delivery person from J&L delivered a frozen box of food with a card signed card from the friends. About 30 minutes later, after the recipients had heated up the delivered food, the same deliveryman brings another box with cold cuts and salads and no card. Ten minutes later, the deliveryman returns with another man who enters and asks if we started eating any of the food. Thinking that he was the mourner who ordered the food, he was told that both boxes were opened and we were eating. The second man begins to accuse the people in the house of eating food that was not for them, as if the recipients of a Shiva order would know what was to arrive. When he was told that this is a house in mourning and he needed to leave, he picked up the contents of the second box and removed it from the mourner’s house. About two minutes later the store called to say that the cold cut platter was originally for the Shiva house. However because we had eaten part of the food mistakenly delivered, he was keeping what was ordered for the mourners and wanted any untouched portion of the first box returned or he would need to charge the mourners for the food they had eaten. He was informed that the food was disposed of because we worried about the stores heath practices. I will never order or go here!
Pros: expensive
Cons: you get what they give you not what was ordered
