I love this place. This place is never packed yet dished out really good ramen. Most people in the Lil' Sawtelle Tokyo area go to Ramenya or Asahi Ramen (Zagat Rated). And Kinchan's is either underrated or just not easy to find since it's in the middle of a shopping center. I always get the Cha Siu Ramen (simmered pork)... and at $4.75, they really give you A LOT of food. The manager/cook is a nice guy, he'll nod when you come in and definitely appreciates returners (like me). My friends have had the mabo ramen, and love it. For those that have been to Ramenya, Kinchan's, in my opinion, broth is less saltier but the noodles aren't as good as Ramenya's. But for big eaters, come here and add another $1... the cook will basically double your noodles. Enjoy. Pros: $4.75 ramen, Quick service, No crowds
