Review content:
My husband and I recently tried Table Mesa for the first time. When we went inside we noticed that it was not very crowded (on a Sat. night) but we had to wait around for a few minutes before someone greeted us. After we were seated it took a long time to get water and even longer to place our order. We thought the menu was way overpriced and a little uninspired so we decided to just order drinks and appetizers. We ordered the chorizo quesadilla and nachos. After an eternity our waitress brought our order, but brought queso fundido instead of nachos. She said she would fix the mistake and put a rush on the nachos, so we scarfed down the quesadilla. It had very lttle chorizo in it, and I don't think it was really chorizo anyway, although I'm not sure what it was. Finally our nachos arrived and we sat in stunned silence. The menu claims that the nachos come with queso oaxaca, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, black beans and a choice of chicken or pork. Ours had pork, sour cream, a few chunks of chopped tomato and some runny yellow cheese that looked like Cheez Whiz. Queso oaxaca is a white Mexican cheese, this was definitely not that. We informed our waitress of our dissatisfaction and another waitress came over. Both seemed to not know what was supposed to come on the nachos. One of the waitresses was also clad a little too scantily for someone who handles my food. We asked to speak to the manager, who was nice but made excuses and blamed the waitress, and we left with the nachos and our drinks taken off the bill. We are by no means picky eaters and this is the first time we have ever complained to the manager. The food and service truly sucked. The place has potential-I loved the classic salsa songs they were playing and the inside was decorated nicely. We, however, will not be going back.
Pros: Music
Cons: Everything else
