Review content:
My wife and I met a couple-friend and their 2 children for dinner at Table Mesa on 4/25/2008. When we arrived, we stood waiting for about 2 minutes while the hostess and an employee were in a conversation. Neither acknowledge we were there. A courtesy ""I will be with you in just a moment"" would have changed my initial impression. I finally saw my friends seated so we sat ourselves.\r \r Our waitress was fairly prompt in asking for a drink order. As we enjoyed our drinks, we reviewed the menu and this is where it started getting bad.\r \r We started our group dining with the queso/chips and chips/salsa selections. The queso was delivered first, with enough chips for 2 people at most. We asked for another order, which we never received.\r \r My wife and I then ordered the tortilla soup. When it arrived, it was watered down with hardly any taste. No spoons came with it so we had to ask for them. When the spoons arrived, they were the smallest I'd ever seen, and mine had the end of it ground up from the garbage disposal. It was like eating soup with a thimble\r \r My friend ordered the seafood burrito. After about 10 minutes the waitress came to the table and said they don't have a seafood burrito. She rattled off what they do have, including the Burrito del Mar. Del Mar in Spanish means ""from the sea""!\r \r The kid?s meals were delivered with no spoons. We had to ask twice to get them.\r \r My wife and I ordered tapas, which were horrible. We've eaten tapas at the 9th Door downtown which are as good as they get. We decided to start drinking more to numb the experience. Our drink order sat at the bar for at least 15 minutes (I could see the drinks!), and the place was only 20% full!\r \r Our total bill was $180.00 (we should have drank even more to numb this surprise).\r \r We would not go back to Table Mesa even if we had certificates for free dinners. If they are open through the summer I will be shocked. Bad service, bad food, and high prices.\r \r
