Review content:
I was also a patient here and I cannot, and will not recommend Dr. Smith. Her treatment did not offer me any relief and she was very rude when I expressed my feelings. I left a negative review for her on another site (after receiving the email asking for good reviews) and received a very confrontational email about my remarks. I stand by everything I said (easy search) and resent that she is attempting to devalue the comments/experiences people had by claiming they are false/fraud or a means of extracting money! When I saw her (Spring 2009), she was in a period of ""transition"" and her hours were very difficult for anybody with a job. Her system of care, in my opinion, does not work, and I have never experienced any other chiropractor like her. Period. I felt rushed by her and I also felt that selling additional services (primarily nutritional counseling) was more important to her than my back. Like everybody else who has had a negative experience with this doctor, the truth is that had we known ahead of time what kind of care she was really offering, we wouldn't have gone and we would have found someone else. I really like Sierra Madre, too, and I have found some great things here, but sadly, she is not one of them. I also don't think it's professional for a doctor to give themselves five stars and then label another review as false. Just seeing her comments brought everything back to me! Thanks to the internet, people have the opportunity to get more educated and do some research. One person's experience is that and only that. Some people must love her because she's still in business. I'm not one of them and take my experience for what it was - my experience. Additionally, I did exchange emails with some of the other folks who had similar experiences (thanks to the other site), so I guess in that way the negative experience was worth something! I met some cool (and honest) new friends in Sierra Madre. Lastly, be wary when someone tells you they are a ""healer."" That can mean anything. Great if it's for free...not so great when you are paying for a bunch of nothing!
