Went to Red Pearl Kitchens Hollywood tonight (Monday, October 16) to try out this new restaurant. I was surprised they were so busy on a Monday but I guess its because everyone wants the spicy tuna tempura eggplant dim sum! Our server suggested this and even though I don't care for eggplant, my husband and I gave it a try. Wow. The raw tuna is on top of crispy little tempura-ed pieces of eggplant and they are delicious! Our other dishes including a cashew chicken dish were so good, too. We also each had one of their special cocktails. I had a Mandarin Blossom (which had a real flower in it) and my husband had a Jade Lady. We are going to bring some out of town guests back to this restaurant with us (my husband's friends...they'll love the food and the cute waitresses!!!)
Pros: Really good food (especially the dim sum) great creative cocktails, romantic lounge with curtains and day beds
Cons: Can be busy-make a reservation
