Review content:
So my first experience with the Red Pearl was in San Diego. We had sat in the bar area where we had a adorable little waitress who basically recommended everything, but directed us to about 5 things on the menu. (Garlic Eggplant - melts in your mouth, amazing ann crave daily. Salt and Pepper Calamari - addicting and delish, better then PF Changs. Garlic Cashew Chicken - probably 2nd best I've ever had - besides from a Asian family who authentically made it. Shaking Kobe Beef & Red Papaya - the beef was so tender, simply amazing... and some salad that was a 'tester' not on the menu so we'll leave that one out *regardless it was great*) Service was killer, the bartender was attentive to what we liked to drink that he concocted only drinks that peeked our taste buds. We did happen to have dessert, which was the Banana Cake with Chai Ice Cream - I hate to say, but not worth the calories... although the Chai ice cream was somewhat tasty. Since living in LA, I came back to see Red Pearl was opening here. Immediately came back and my experance was yet again fantastic. This time trying the Chicken-Ginger Potstickers and the Spicy Tuna Tartare, Tempura Eggplant - both absolutely love! Moving on to the Black Noodle, Drunken Beef, Gai Lan - again surprised by every bite that everything just keeps getting better... Garlic Eggplant once again - so delish.. Now, the only difference between the two were the portions, San Diegos Portions were so large what we had could fill a family of 10. But since the girls are so waify in LA - go figure? Celebs don't eat - so LA's Red Pearl is surely making a killing on the portion control. Service was yet again impeccable (waitress remembering the other party I was with from the prior week) Decor is much more decadent in LA - but San Diegos is still beautiful... love, love, love! Plus what other Valet puts 2 yummy COOKIES in your car when you leave even has bottled water to wash it down - WHO DOES THIS? yep, RED PEARL. RA RA RA!!
Pros: Valet gives you cookies! beautiful decor! Easy to Talk! Great background Music.. etc
Cons: nada uno
