If you like really loud music, expensive cocktails, and poor service, then this is the place for you! Oh, did I mention the food isn't that good, either? My boyfriend & I ate here a couple nights ago. They did a pretty nice job on redecorating the space, the bar and lounge seem nice, and I especially liked how they painted the glass wall to the kitchen, but painting the existing Meson G natural pebble stone floor GOLD just looks tacky in the dining room. The all-female waitress staff are as attractive as the decor, but it seems they were hired for their looks, more than anything. (even the valet parkers are cute girls!) My boyfriend had a beer. I had a ""love you long time"" cocktail - it was gross. If it was supposed to be a mojito, it was the worst I've ever had. They have an extensive list of drinks with similarly silly/offensive names, like ""drunken samaurai"" and ""tipsy geisha"". They call their desserts ""happy endings"". Overall, the food had much room for improvement. Items were either overly salted, greasy, or just plain bad. And who puts squid into their pad thai, anyway? The tomato with mint and toasted coconut was actually very nice - like a fine dining dish. Unfortunately, this place is another example of why the restaurant scene in LA is all about looks and ambience and not about great food. Pros: Attractive decor & waitresses Cons: food - not too good...
