Date posted: 11/2/2006\r Years at this apartment: 2004-2006\r \r Property was recently bought by Lindt, and the new management is only about profit.\r Our building BURNED DOWN and they quickly rushed into a building demolition BEFORE the\r police report was available to prove that it was their fault. (to hide evidence? So\r they won't have to compensate us for the loss of our stuff?) The same apartment burned\r 6 months before the new mgmnt arrived in the same location (bathroom ceiling fan).\r \r Our basement apartment window was broken and someone entered the apartment and stole\r from us. Old management was horrible. No one installed fences around the back part of the\r property even after we requested several times for them to do so, and it's still a cut-through for people walking down Roswell Road and not secure/safe for bottom floor tenants.\r \r The new mgmnt relocated us after the fire for one month and then raised our rent $300/month. R O A C H E S were a huge problem in the basement apartment and not so bad in a 3rd floor unit, but the units aren't sealed well and we get secondhand smoke from the guy who smokes in the 2nd floor beneath us everywhere in our unit.\r \r They have been raising rents since they got here. The water is shut off during the day\r without notification (they say they do notify us but they don't), they don't care about\r the tenants or how long they have been here, only about profit.\r \r Bottom line: don't move here unless you have enough money to spend to be noticed and or\r heard. Money talks with this new company. Pros: New management is installing new roofs and they renovated the pool area Cons: Apartments still old, crappy construction, leaky
