Review content:
Western Hills Kung Fu & Tai Chi is among the best martial arts academies in the Cincinnati area. Sifu Martin Ware and his instructors are both competent and skilled instructors. Sifu April Nordman is an excellent instructor for adults but even more so for the kids and teens. The little ones respond VERY well to her instruction methods and she's as patient as they come.\r

Kung Fu is not like other martial arts forms. Whereas Karate and Tae Kwon Do emphasize belts and rapid progress, Kung Fu is less about the belts and more about the technique. There's ample opportunity to advance belts but that's not why one attends a martial arts academy (at least it shouldn't be). WHKungFu really puts that emphasis on technique where it should rest. Their students compete on a regular basis and do very well in area tournaments, not to mention placing well in national/international tournaments.\r
\r
Another major plus, especially for parents, is the cost of classes at WHKF. Other schools cost a great deal more; WHKF is affordable and you definitely get your money's worth.\r
\r
A definite high-recommendation for this school, especially for parents.
Pros: Competent, patient, good value, reasonable tuition.
