Review content:
Corning Bike Works offers a lot of nice bicycles, but no customer service. I made the mistake of buying my last bike from Corning Bike Works. I knew what I wanted, but because they did not have it in stock, the owner of Corning Bike Works was kind enough to order it for me. Trek sent him the bike, he assembled it, and I paid for it. A week or two later, I took the bike back to Corning Bike Works because of a problem with the pedals. The owner claimed responsibility for the error and vowed to make things right. When the repair was finished, I picked the bike up and headed home only to find out that Corning Bike Works had just pulled a fast one on me. The pedals that were on the bike originally were high-quality, metal pedals. The pedals that he replaced them with were nothing more than cheap, inadequate plastic ones. This says a lot about Corning Bike Works. Pull a fast one on the first time customer and inexperienced cyclist. I promptly called them when I noticed the plastic pedals. At first they acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about, and then they said that it was a mistake, and then they said that the plastic pedals were the only pedals that they had in stock. They stuck to this third and final excuse and promised to deliver metal pedals of equal value to my home when they came in. Needless to say, they never followed through. I can think of better ways to treat a person who just bought a brand-new bike, speedometer, helmet, riding gloves and a few other accessories. I sincerely regret doing business with Corning Bike Works. Fool me once, shame on you, Corning Bike Works. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'll never go back. I may have lost out on pair of quality pedals, but Corning Bike Works lost out on a customer forever.
Pros: Nice bicycles, Great location
Cons: No customer service
